Answers

The speaker often references literary and historical figures in "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock."

What is the theme of J. Alfred Prufrock's love story?

The first of Eliot's great poems, this one was finished in 1910 or 1911 but wasn't released until 1915. It explores the troubled psyche of the stereotypical modern man—overeducated, verbose, neurotic, and emotionally stilted—and examines his overabundance of traits.

The poem's speaker, Prufrock, appears to be speaking to a potential partner with whom he hopes to "push the situation to its crisis" by finally getting together.

Prufrock, however, is too experienced in life to "dare" to approach the woman: He hears in his head what other people are saying about how inadequate he is, and he berates himself for even "presuming" that emotional engagement could be possible.

Anyone got any advice for me? I thought I choose ASL 1A but I chose ASL 1b (I think I can still do it though), and I and also learning Spanish with a bit of knowledge in Spanish already, plus my main core classes. It's kind of stressing me out.

Answers

Explanation:

1. Find people you can talk to. Friends, family, teachers, we all need support. That can be super helpful!

2. Consider a study group. Studying can be a lot easier and more fun with others. Of course, this isn't always the case, you have to find the right group, but definitely an option.

3. Have you looked into free resources available to you? Maybe it's a planner, quizlet, making your own flashcards by hand, supplemental reading, videos on concepts you don't understand, or asking your teacher for other study resources. This is fun because you may find a way to learn other things than just in class.

4. Plan! This sounds weird and cliche,  but planning can save so much stress. For me personally, I buy a large calendar, and I write in different things that are due that semester (but month, or even week works well too) I like to color code them, but anyway the point is that at a glance I can see what I have going on, and major exams and stuff.

Additionally, another thing that has been helpful for me is to just look online and print off a free weekly schedule. I like to get one with boxes or rectangles for each day and then I write in things I need to do. At the end, I throw it away! That's a great visual for me.

5. Consider taking notes. This may manifest in different ways for you, I know I have some classes where I read the text and then take notes in class over my previous notes, I have also seen people take notes on powerpoints (if that is an option for you). There are a lot of different options for taking notes, maybe one of them could be right for you!

You could always invest in some pens, maybe colors you like or ones that are really fun to write with. Something that would make you excited to use.

6. Finally, remember to plan time to rest. I cannot stress this one enough. If you don't take care of your brain and give it a break, how can you expect it to function? Getting tired is normal, plan time to rest each week and don't think about school or things you need to do then. Remember that you are not defined by your school or grades or how well you're doing. You are valuable as a person!

Anyway that's all I can think of right now!

Answers

I am not going to buy it because the cellphone was stolen from someone else. This condition is against morality, integrity, and humanity.

Consider morality, integrity, and humanity

As social beings, we have morality sense to decide whether something is good or bad. Stealing someone's phone is exactly the wrong thing to do and support. Even though the person is our friend, we can't support his action by buying it.

The second reason is that we have integrity. We must stay honest and keep our moral principles. Stealing is a dishonest act. Rather than buying the stolen cellphone, it is better to tell our friend to return the cellphone. Give him advice and tell the police about his action.

The last reason is humanity and humaneness. Imagine your phone being stolen, or your mom's, or your family's. As a human, empathy is the key to creating a better life. We must consider the individual whose cellphone was stolen. He is very sad, shocked, and confused. We don't know if the phone is very valuable for him. We don't know how many hours he spends working and getting money to buy the phone.

So, it is obvious we must not buy the stolen phone!

Just a handful of altered organisms released into a new population should be able to quickly spread the gene drive through all of them, Esvelt says.He even suggests a humane way to kill off a rat population that threatened local bird species: Add a gene that makes the rats infertile. Individual rats wouldnt suffer. But they couldnt have more babies. Over time, the local population would die out. And the rats threat to the birds would go away. But even rats have native populations where an ecosystem depends on them. So scientists dont want to kill them off everywhere in the world. Otherwise, that could throw off the ecological balance somewhere else. Esvelts group has proposed a way to limit that risk.We call this a daisy drive, because it involves creating a gene-drive daisy chain, he explains. Just as each flower in a chain of daisies is a separate unit, each part of the daisy gene drive would have part of the instructions for CRISPR and the gene drive. And those parts are scattered around in different places in the genome. Because only half of a parents DNA is passed on to offspring, some of the pieces wont get inherited in the next generation. Without all of the pieces in one organism, the gene drive eventually gets a flat tire and cant drive anymore. residents of the town of maple grove who are connected to the municipal water supply are billed a fixed amount yearly plus a charge for each cubic foot of water used. a household using 1000 cubic feet was billed $74, while one using 1600 cubic feet was billed $111.
