Tercera Revolución Industrial (1.950 - 1.973) - Se deriva del aprovechamiento del petróleo como recurso energético, expansión de la electricidad, perfeccionamiento de automóviles, embarcaciones y aviones.

Se comienza a aprovechar el gas natural y la energía nuclear como recursos energéticos, así como comienzan a aparecer los primeros computadores funcionales y las primeras aplicaciones aeroespaciales.
